intermitent slight jolt/nudge when slowing down right before a full stop?

Hi guys.... just got my white 01 x5 3.0 so far i''m very happy how it drives and the feel is as nice as i would imagine.. hopefully it keeps on being that way...

anyway just wondering what that nudge is?.... hopefully its nothing major waiting to happen... it has 70k milage already... any feedback would trully be appreciated hanks in advance....

this site is so helpful thanks guys.... more power....

Hey, :xoutpost:!

It sounds like your transmission has not received the required updates to cure that issue. Take it to you local dealer and tell them that a TSB has been published on the 2-1 downshift push you're feeling. They should flash it for you.

thanks a lot cg. so its nothing major that may worry me? i'll just take it to a dealer and have it fixed.... thanks again... i hope it will not be too costly...

Oh, Sorry. A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin. The service department gets those when a known issue is discovered and there's a fix.

Many folks have mentioned the second to first downshift "push" you've described. They had the software on their transmission updated and it fixes the issue. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

Does anyone know where to find this TSB?

My X is at the dealer for this issue and they can't find it.
