Unhappy SES light on - P1419

its was snowing hard here in NJ yesterday and temp was in the low 20s... it was the worst day so far for my X, DSC, 4x4, and brake lights went on (4th time since december)... i parked my X, turned it off, waited 1 minute and then restarted her, lights still lit, this time, after about 30 seconds, SES went on too... so i parked my X again, off again, after 2 mins, restart again, 3 lights went out but SES remained on...

this morning, i went to AutoZone have it scanned, i got P1419 - Split air #2 circuit malfunction. oh btw, after he disconnected the code reader and i restarted my X, the SES light went away.

Now my questions are:

1. Could there be really something wrong with my sensors thats why it (DSC,4x4,brake) keeps coming back? or is this related to cold weather?

2. What should i do to P1419? or could this also be related to cold weather?

tia...

FYI - for those who ever need to replace the larger MAF for the actual engine intake, you can get them also in the $70-$100 range by either using Range Rover MAF's (same motor for a while) or using a certain VW MAF (search www.m5board.com since I don't remember the #). Just throwin it out there to save people some $.

This is definitely a DIY job. Before replacing the sensor try cleaning it out with MAF cleaner (do not use brake clean). Here's a DIY guide:

I don't see any problem with reviving a service thread from years past, especially a thread in which a solution was never found for the problem. People are still having problems with P codes.

I agree. This thread comes up in a search, and I'm posting relevant information to update it.

Revive threads of the same subject vs creating new and spreading the information even thinner.
