I painted the calipers on both my sports cars years ago and they still look great. No sign of rust and very glossy. I say, go ahead.

I used high temperature engine paint. Red on one car, black on the other.
I always get questions about how I painted the raised "MAZDA" lettering on the red calipers because it looks so clean. When I tell them that I just used a black permanent marker most people are amazed that it looks so good. Quote:
