Many tasks can be accomplished easily with this tool. There are many options that were not clear to me yet easily accessible. I have no experience with GT1 other then reading DIY instructions here. This tool seems easier and less safe.

I recently go BMWScanner 1.4 and have managed to do a good number of things I wanted to my X5.

One thing I just can't seem to get to work is the Key memory, even though I have enabled it with the scanner. How do you get the damn seat to move on either the remote or when you open the door?

Also what does 'Auto int' mean for keys, I have one the same yes and another key that say no?

Hello,
I just bought one of these scanner 1.4.0; not easy to install the drivers!
Could someone explain how you can access the re-coding pages for lights, aux-heater (IKE coding) ...
Many thanks!

Can you enable aux heating? Is it the same as the £70 kit on eBay?

I don't know yet since I still wonder how to reach the IKE Coding page where I should be able to activate it.

it's a kit from China but supposed to have all functions available.

Yes, My indy has this. It's a great thing. I turned off my Dailight lightning on E53, and put CONS to liters, instead of MPGs.

changing options with the 1.4 scanner

Hi - Thanks for the interesting post. I have the same scanner - can you tell me please how I go in and make changes such as doors locking at a certain speed, audible beep on locking the car, linking a certain key to seat memory etc etc
Thanks

Smeee
