Remote Control Question

I know that the remote controls charge themselves while the car is running. I have one remote that wasn't working so I used it last night to drive around for a bit. It's still not working. So how long do you need to live it in for it to be charged? Thanks..Love this site

I could be wrong, but once it's dead, I think it needs to be reprogrammed. Charging the key periodically keeps it from dying, so you might be past the point of no return...

Good luck,

Rob

^^ i agree. How old is the remote? Any rechargable battery regardless of use, deteriorates and therefore, loses its charge and be dead. You might need a new one or just unlock it by inserting it in the slot and alarm should disable automatically.

Actually I don't think you'll need to call them at all, I had the same problem and after driving around with the key for a bit to recahrge it I managed to program it myself. Pushing the buttons on the key repeatedly without the car responding also puts the key into limbo.... I'd save the $180 and try this first.

Follow these instructions.
