Fog lights question

Please guys, I need some help..
I just got some H1 BULBs from HOEN USA to replace my stock 2001 fog lighs. I follow the thread about removing the fog lights step by step. I t was all good till it skip exactly when i needed the most. HOW TO REMOVE THE ACTUAL BULB FROM THE CASING, the other thing is that these H1 BULBS seems too long. Don't know for sure since i can't remove the other bulb yet. Pls help!

There should be a wire clip that holds them in place. Just unclip it and remove the bulb. Use care not to touch the bulb with your fingers, as the oils in your skin will greatly shorten the life of the bulb.

I ordered some 8500k H1's for fogs only to discover that they actually take H3's!! The place I got them from directs one to Slyvania's online fitment guide. Well, it's wrong. You will note that the H3 bulb has a wire attached to it, the H1 does not. I sent them back, and they are sending me some H3's. Hope this helps.

I made this mistake too - Autozone/ Advance has listed in their database that the H1 is the correct bulb for a 2001, but it is a H3.

The 2001 manual also says the fogs are H1s...but they infact are H3s.
