Replacing MID with 16:9 2004 X5

Hi guys,

I've recently bought a 16:9 unit to replace the MID in my 2004 X5; not too bothered about nav or TV, just want to use my Intervee Ipod adapter properly.

What do I need to change the head unit- any extra cables etc?

Is there any further info I can read up on? I was hoping it was a straigt swap apart from 'tailoring' a couple o its of dashtrim..
