Nokia 6310i Phone Cradle in Center Armrest

Guys,

I have a Nokia 6310i Phone which I use for work and it charges in the phone cradle/adapter which I bought for the center armrest but does anyone know if it works without the Bluetooth switched on on the phone like the phone kits in the Mercedes E Classes which picks up the phone and the phone memory when it's placed the the factory fitted cradle also in the center armrest...?? reason I ask is I have 2 phones - 1 for work and the other is a private number and I want to use the 2 of them on the X5 independently.....??

Nope the cradle is just for antenna and power , the data transfer/phone book sync is all via Bluetooth . The BMW BT kit does not include the capability to transfer the SIM card/number to the car .

Ok, the antenna I find the reception to be of poor quality - not sure if anyone experiences the same problem or whether you need to install a booster to increase the power output(i.e. like a phone car kit) in order to increase signal strength...

The phone cradle doesn't seem to be charging the phone when it's in the cradle - just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or if it's a fuse problem??

Thanks,
