Replacement Headlights
My 2000 X5 needs new headlights. I've done the grinding, sanding, polishing, restoring thing with good results, but it's just time to replace. I don't want to go the OEM route due to the $600 per side cost. Any good after-market suggestions?

Why replace? What is the problem with the old lights?

Why not buy a set of good used halogen lights and remove the front cover to fit on your lights? The halos sell for around $10 each if anybody will buy them! They pop up on fleabay all the time.

thanks, Primetime, I like umnitza.
Mark - They just look bad, that's all. I used Lens Renew, which I think is the better of the restoration products, and it took out a lot of the damage and haze. I'm just thinking about something that will look newer. |

I just got finished using this product: http://www.myheadlight.com/
It made my headlight look like new. I can't tell the difference side-to-side (one of my headlights is new and the other - the one I refinished - is 7 years old and looked absolutely horrible). Absolutely the best detailing product I have ever used.... Recommend you give it a try. |
