Differential and transfer case fluid change

I have an 01 X5 3.0. I want to change my differential and transfer case fluid after reading the Fluid Maintenance Schedule from the front page. I tried to look for some DIY instruction but could not find any for the X5. It appears that many folks here have done these procedures and are very knowledgeable about the procedures. Can anybody here give me some pointers please?
