56,000 inspection II?

So my inspection came on today at 56k... im out of warranty, how much is this going to cost me anyone know?

Yeah i know im a maniac for having 56k on an 05 4.8is.. i just wanna know how much this inspection will cost me?

It varies by BMW dealer and your location. But one thing is for sure, they are gonna charge arm and leg, while most of the items can easily be DIY.

I have 73k on 06 recently done insp II on dealers expence it costs around $1200 most likely cheaper in the states

As was stated you can usually do a lot of the minor things yourself. If you are not so inclined, look for a private shop that may have better hourly rates then BMW. If that isn't an option, head to the dealer. IMO, $1200 on a car that cost you probably $40K isn't bad (in fact it is only 3% of what you paid for the whole ride). This site has plenty of DIY and lots of folks that would help you, just ask.

I agree, get the list of what they normally do on an Inspection II. Do everything yourself that you can and make a list of the few things you want done by them. Bingo, Inspection II is done.

What you gain by doing this your self you will losse if not more when time comes to sell and you dont have fully stamped book, if you want to save some money find independent BMW shop
Bottom line if you wanna drive a new X you got to be prepaird o pay for sevice

hey hillary, you have to buy the extended warranty AND the maintenance warranty. That isnt $1595...

I bought both; but my dealer was willing to sell me just the maintenance package for $1595.
