I wired up my fogs with a relay and it caused them to start flickering, so I had to remove the relay and wire it straight, and now I have no problems.

It depends on the balast design, the check point will do a power search and if it it is with in the pridefined frame no error, if outside then it will generate errors, and sometimes eaven cut the power to the lights to avoid power "shorting out"
