To buy or not to buy?

First time poster looking for some advise..

Situation..

2000 BMW X5
Mileage 130,000
Absolutley Immaculate Condition.
Loaded Nav.Sport Pkg.
Looking at $15,000

Is this a ridiculous idea to get into? This is about max I am looking to spend right.
Thanks

WOW - that is really high mileage for an X. If you want to maintain it at that high mileage then you will spend lots and lots of money just to keep it reliable. For not too much more than that, I've seen really clean 3.0 X5's with around 70k miles. Just last week here in Vegas I saw a one owner, 3.0 with sport (no nav), really clean blue X with 82k for $16.2k. I don't know what the market is like in Idaho however, so it may be harder to find deals. I think will be worth your time and $ to keep looking even out of state.

Thanx for your help..Still entertaining other opionions also...
I hear ya on the high mileage. I think i will probably keep looking.. There are just not a lot of X5's in Idaho. I'm thinking i am going to have to go an alternate route to attain one.. Ebay..and online shopping type deal..

Next question.. anyone ever use the ebay financing easy to deal with or not?

Runaway! Too much mileage....Also suggest you look into cold weather issues with the X5 (oil separator issue) before you buy

Imo, Big mileage; you would have to have a good Indie or be
handy at DIY with that car...if serious, have key "run" at a
BMW stlr for service history.

There are 2 BMW stlrs in Idaho; I'd look for a CPO version with
some kind of safety net.
