2003 side marker lights

hello all..
this is my first post, I am having a heck of a time finding a do it yourself article on how to replace my side markers... do they just pop out from the outside or do I need to take apart my door to access them??

all you have to do is use your fingers to push the side markers forward towards the front of the X and once you've pushed it forward just pry it our towards you...before pulling it out turn the whole side marker i believe 90 deegress so it will come out of the body panel...

good luck!

First off, welcome to the site.

You could take apart your door, but I don't think that will help you considering the lights are in the front fenders!!!

Directions above are right, although I can't remember if you push it forward or backwards. If you can get your hands on a pair of latex or nitrile gloves, these will help you to grip the light.

yep, just slide them forward, and twist it a little to let the internal components slide out

Talking

Cool thanks!! I have since ordered some clear markers and I am anxiously awaiting their arrival!!! so I will get a pic of it to add to my profile when it is done..... I say done VERY loosely, I am currently gathering all the info to upgrade my X with the 4.6iS trim... I added the wheels and thought that would be enough...... I was sooo wrong, so now its on to upgrading all the orange lights to clear ones..... then the bumper pieces.... so thanks to all for all your previous post that has given me the info to research all the parts needed to get the job done..... After all thats why I joined this site in particular... all the great info....

Thumbs up

Well thank for the support! I am new to the whole DIY and it can be alittle intimidating, especially on something as precious as the X, so to all you out there with the patience AND the knowledge thank you! The install was really easy and I hope the fronts and the rears follow suit... I will keep you posted... BROST
