4.8is oil question...

motordavid, I know the whole oil topic has been discussed many times (hell, it took me several days to go through and read all the post USING the search function). I was really interested in the Castrol and I should have re-worded my initial post. I just wanted to see if anyone had used the castrol or if anyone had any problems with the oils in colder climates.... I'm not trying to start any oil wars.... there's enough of those on the RS4 forum!

I hear you...fwiw, my vote would be any good syn with maybe an 0W base rating for easier starting in your winters.

We did two M'cycle trips to Nova Scotia and PEI: both were in summer and both times it was "record heat" at the time, lol!

We had packed/wore leathers, Damart long undies, etc. ...we ended up stuffing all those and riding in T-shirts and jeans.

I must say the two trips over The Bridge to PEI, were white knuckle rides both times with the wind and rain on those days, and the trucks pushing us. Cape Breton ride is beautiful, as were the tidal bores, Fundy, Halifax, etc.

I'm new to Halifax (been here since last Sept) and I'm trying to find some time (hopefully in the summer) to explore Nova Scotia.... So far, i've been in the halifax/dartmouth bubble...
