Replacing the rubber mounting for the rear axle- DIY?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...28&hg=33&fg=30 PS Got a "new" M3 steering wheel change coming up. It is in the mail- cannot wait to get it fitted. Also I would like to thank you guys/gals out there for all replies whenever needed. This is the best place for tips,hints and solutions to our problems and more....... |

#2 are the bushing to mount the subframe to the body. you sure those are it? are you sure it's not #7/9?

No but I was told that the bushing were big and that it had to be all four that need to changed.Will check one more time with the local repair shop.

The only way to do this DIY is to purchase the correct tool - its about $400. I had a go at replacing mine without using the tool - its a real pain. I couldn't press the new bush fully in - I ended up taking it to the dealer to get it finished.
