Stretched fabric on the airbags

A few weeks ago I noticed that the material covering my front airbags (the ones that run along the side of the windshield) contained a few "lumpy" sections. I observed that leaving the X out in the sun for a while cured the lumps, but once it was back into the garage, the lumps would re-appear. The only explanation I have as to how this happened is that I left my window shades on the vehicle overnight, touching the side airbag fabric. As the temperature warmed up and then cooled down, the fabric contracted and then expanded, thereby stretching the fabric slightly.

My question is pretty simple: is there any way to fix this? I was thinking about taking a hairdryer to the spots and carefully treating them, but I suspect that this may only fix them temporarily and could in fact make the problem worse. Any suggestions? Thank you!

That area is called the A-pillar, if I'm not mistaken. It can be ordered and replaced by dealer if yours is still under warranty.
