Leased car: Bald tires, and 1 tire thats leaking.. Will BMW charge a fee

Will BMW charge a fee for this

I have an 05 X5 with the rear tires that are going bald and NEED to be replaced without a doubt.

And to add on to that one of the tires is leaking air, if i filled up the tire it would deflate in a 14hour period.

so im wondering when i return my leased X5 will BMW charge me for the extremely used tires?

Cop a used tire to replace the baldy, preferably the same brand,
and get the slow leaker patched from the inside.

If your tires are worn to a certain degree,(you can use the handy plastic wheel to see how much) they will charge you 800 bucks. If you decide to replace the tires, they must be OEM brand and size or you will also be charged the 800 bucks at turn in regardless of their condition. I just went through this last week. I have two months left on my lease and my tires had belts showing so I went ahead an bought 4 new ones. 1200 installed.

i leased a car once. you can have them do an inspection before you actually turn the car in to see what they might possibly charge extra for wear & tear...that was the case with honda anyway.

you are better off replacing the tires yourself prior to returning the car. The dealer will charge Retail + mount/balance...

Returned my loaded X5 4.4i three weeks ago. My tires really weren't that bad but they still charged me for four new tires. They charge $200/tire, which isn't that bad since I had 19" rims. I think it would cost more if you did it yourself.
