Exclamation How to remove overhead panel plate for HomeLink installment? SOLVED w/Pictures!!

Hi guy's...
I couldn't find this when I searched, so here I go...

I bought the HomeLink module (for opening garageports) but don't know how to open the overhead panel plate for installment.

Any ideas? Is there something to unscrew?

Removing the overhead switch panel

Tools required:
Plastic prying tool or flat thin screwdriver.
T10 Screwdriver or T10 bit

Gently pry out the overhead interior light with a plastic prying tool or screwdriver(tip wrapped in tape).
Open back dropdown compartment.
You should now be able to see 4 silver torx #10 screws that are holding up the switch panel.
Remove the 4 screws.

White smaller connector should be inside opening.

I have pictures. PM me.

Keywords: overhead interior lights, sunroof motor, Homelink

Just insert a small flat screwdriver there and very easily, you can pop out the lighting section.
