New tire & rims
I'm thinking about upgrading my tire & rim package. Has anyone seen these tires and rims on a E53 or E70? They are BMW factory rim/tire upgrade available for the E70. However they will fit the E53. They rims are staggared 10x21 front and 11.5x21 rear. The tires are 285/35r21 front, 325/30r21 rear on Dunlop SP SportMaxx DSST tires. Thanks, BF |

Try Konig wheels. They have quite a few for the E53. I can tell you the SP Sport Maxx tires are fabulous. I have them on both Z3s. I wish I could get them for my 19's on the X5, but they're only available in limited 20" and 22" sizes. They are very light weight tires, and yet have the perfect stiffness for sidewalls (cornering). They are amazingly quiet, and, produce an equally amazing comfortable ride. Performance wise, they outperform the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 in my opinion. They are also of the new breed of sticky performance tire; Like previous generations they stick better and better the warmer they get. But, the rubber compound is very sticky when cold as well. The result is, the Z3s actually do quite well on icy roads in the winter, when supposedly this tire is 3 season only. If I could get them for my X5 I'd do it in a heart beat. I just mounted up the new Style 132 19's an hour ago. I went with Continental CrossContact UHP tires. They were the closest in looks to the SP Sport Maxx! ![]() |

If those are OEM, you can do what UCrew did...use a set of Hub Centric Rings to covert the hub from 72.56 to74.1 => http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...tyle-214s.html

that might need some cambers looking at how tilted the wheels are. they are the 215's and I think someone posted up a thread labeled 'carbon black e70' up with that wheel setup. very nice rims...
