Red face Sunroof - One touch close or not

Hello,
I was playing with my sunroof the other day and noticed that it did not slide to close with one touch of the button. One touch open is there but you have to hold down the button to close the sunroof (front the sliding position not the vent position). I did read the manual but it was not clear if it was only the auto open that was being referred to. I have had my car for almost two years now but don't remember it ever auto closing the sunroof.

TIA

not sure if this makes much a difference but do you have a standard moon or panoramic moon roof?

Our old '01 with moonroof, (weird name: who drives along viewing
the moon?!), cracks open, opens fully, cracks closed and slides
closed fully, with one touch on the button.

If you have the PANA Roof and it is fully open, you have to press the button once to get it to slide closed to the 'normal' 1/2 open position, and then again to fully close.

Hi Folks,
I have a standard sunroof on a 2004. I think there is something wrong with mine. It auto opens but does not auto close. I will stop by the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks and will update with feedback!

Abster,
You could try the second part of the procedure in Item #5. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...hlight=sunroof
Colin.
