Fresh look - Slammed 4.8 :)

So I got my freshly restored 168*'s with the new tires mounted back last night and installed. Called all the local dealerships today about lowering the EHC via DIS with no hope or confidence in any of them so I decided to go to my buddy's Indie repair shop to try his Autologic (GT1) diagnostic tool and see if I could do it myself...

YUP! It was actually a piece of cake. The front is a little lower than I wanted proportionate to the rear but I ran out of time, so i'll fine tune it more this weekend to get it right where I want before my alignment appointment on Monday.

In the meantime i'm enjoying the gangsta look. Best part is it only cost $0.00

A little too low for my taste. It looks like a station wagon on roids. I would like to see it when you raise the front up a little.

Great 4.8is though. I love the color.

Isn't that what an X5 is anyways? Raising the front would make the back look like it sagging....it's fine the way it is.

The OP mentioned he needed to raise the front and I was just agreeing. BMW's show a little more gap between the top of the tire and the fender in the front than the back. It is hard to tell from the photo, but right now it looks like both tires are showing equal gap from the top of the tires to the fenders. BMW's look better with a little more gap between the top of the front tire and the fender than the back. That is just how they are naturally set up. Right now it looks like the X is about 1 mm from "hittin the switches".

It's too low for my tastes too. I'm going to play with it tomorrow to find the perfect drop, this was just getting my feet wet learning how to do it. I logged the stock settings so ill revert back to that and then lower it to the standard load setting and record the measurements to get better baselines. Now it's starting to remind me of the old MB's and Lincolns with blown air suspensions!
