Exclamation Anyone interested in lowering X5 air suspension

I've been waiting for a company to develop a way I can lower the self-leveling suspension on my 4.8is for over a year now, however no company has yet stepped up to the plate. I've read about dealerships being able to adjust the default ride height in the DIS computer; however I've tried with no success. So after a long time in testing and developing, I've developed my own way to lower my 4.8is X5 (air suspension).

The shop which helped me develop this kit is considering producing a few batches for the general market. However since this kit will not offer any significant margin, they would only consider offering the kits in a group buy manner for one time only. The kits then would not be produced again for the time being.

The price of the kit has yet to be determined, however I would assume it will be under $250 for the front and rear.

The factory self-leveling system will still operate like factory without any permanent modifications. All three modes can be adjusted to be lower or higher then the factory setting, yet you cannot adjust each mode individually, so this mod would result in an overall height change.

Please let me know your thoughts, questions, etc...

Remember I'm just posting this as an early market indicator on if X5 owners would have an interest in this kit.

As for the ride, so far during initial driving it feels and handles great with only minor changes in rebound/bounciness. Obviously the ride will vary on how extreme the height you have it set to.

Here's a shot of what my 4.8is looks like (in low mode):

I may interested in this as well. However, I did find this solution from a company but they only sell to tuners.
Anyway, here's the link http://www.evc.de/en/product/susp/default.asp

Does the car permanently ride like this? The OEM automatically raises you back up after hitting a certain speed.

BTW will this work on a 2003 4.4? I don't see much of a difference in the suspension units. But the link above only states 2004+

Only 4.8's have air suspension standard all around except if taken as an option on the 4.4 or 3.0
