PDC

the parking control distance.....well when I put my car in reverse, the PDC comes on but a long beep comes on too, and the PDC switch light is blinking, after that nothing else, but they are not working. any ideas?

make sure that there isn't any debris or dirt blocking a sensor. if they're all clean, check to make sure that a connector hasn't come loose to one of them. If that checks out, the car probably has a bad sensor and needs to go to service.

I have the same problem.
Itīs the same on every sensores. No one is working.
And the PDC switch is blinking also. In the manual it says that the switch should stay green (no blinking) But my switch is blnking.

No one who can help me?

I have an 05 X5 and the very same thing happens when I engage reverse gear and then sometimes it works but it can be very annoying when your trying to park into a very tight spot - but as far as I know it could be a faulty sensor or just some dirt...

I had the same problem.
I just cleand the 4 sensor and the problem was gone

Yeah I've done that before a few times alright but with the weather we have here they don't always stay clean for long. Another question - have you got the phone cradle in the armrest?? mine has stopped charging my phone and I was wondering if this ever happended to you or what might have caused this....??

The phone cradle is in the armrest and mine donīt even work at all (even the BT) i have been around in this GREAT XWorld .. but there was no one who could help me... maybe you should go to the stealer
