Windshield Comfort Glass and radar detector issue?

I came on to X5World this morning to read some opinions on windshield repair and it turns out, as quite often, that there is always something new that I learn. This time it’s the option of replacing my windshield with comfort glass. I do however, have one question that I was hoping someone with comfort glass and a radar detector can chime in on. I have a V1 radar and am wondering if the comfort glass coating would affect the radar’s performance? I doubt it will…but it’s always good to hear what you guys have actually seen….

there are cutouts for your radar detector. If it's like the 7, there is a cutout up on the passenger side of the rearview mirror, and there is one down at the bottom near the center of the dash

Not allowed to use radar in Oz, but to get the electronic toll transponder to work, it must be fitted in the comfort glass cut-out either next to the rearvision mirror or at the bottom in the middle.

My Belltronics works well mounted in the centre above the dash through the CC windscreen.

Cheers,
