I purchased 2 of the first aid kits from the dealer for about $35 each. I installed one under each of the front seats, stocking the passenger seat kit with first aid materials (the kit box isn't stocked) and the driver's seat kit with oddment stuff. Also, because the driver's seat kit isn't used for first aid materials I scraped off the green cross on the front of it (used my finger nail, came off EASILY).

Does the same first aid kit fit both the driver and passenger seat? Or are they under different part number?

* "Holder" P/N 52-10-7-45-018 @ $11.38. This is installed under seat using 2 each plastic fasteners. I had to source the fastener size by trial & error as the dealer did not have any parts reference but did have a broad selection of plastic fastners. The plastic fasteners are the type that look like a fat thumb tack with a button in the center of the head. Upon insertion the button is pressed flush with the head causing the inserted end of the fastener to expand prongs which lock it into place (to remove the fastner the button is further depressed into the head with a pointed object which allows the prongs to contract thereby releasing the fastener). The fasteners I used FIRMLY held the "Holder" in place without any play. NOTE: Screws cannot be used as the seat frame holes are not threaded AND clearance is such that a screw driver can't be used. * "First Aid" kit P/N 52-10-7-044-958 @ $19.70. This just slides/snaps into place in the "Holder" without any problem. |

What are the dimensions of this kit? I just wonder what would fit inside the box.

* Width = 10.50 inches * Depth = 4.75 inches * Height varies with the rear 2.00 inches being only 1.75 inches high while the front 2.75 inches is about 3.50 inches high. The height change from the rear 1.75 inches to the front 3.50 is verticle. You have 36.75 cubic inches in the rear + 101.06 cubic inches front for a total of about 138 cubic inches. |

Withidl, How many "Holder(s)" are required for 1 box? One or Two? Thanks.

Thanks for the info on the screws. If I hadn't been able to get the plastic fasteners I would have resorted to screws which are a little more problematic because of the marginal clearance. |
