[quote=X5 Meister]Not sure if this qualifies as a hijack, but what the hell...

- I personally would prefer a mount as high up as possible and between the RVM and passenger visor, but I still need laser support. So don't know how bad that will affect it.
- I haven't decided if I want a mount that permanently holds the V1 or a quick release setup to be able to lock it in the glovebox. What I don't want is it getting stolen by a parking attendant. Ask me how I know.
- I am absolutely stunned that with the success of the V1 and all the engineering of the Stealth One that no one has developed a remote rear laser option that could mount on the back windshield or similar spot, thus allowing one to mount the V1 any way they want in front without losing rear laser protection.

We are obviously looking for the same solution.

I plan on using the V1 clip to allow for easy removal.

Also plan on not obstructing the rear laser sensor. The realities of picking up laser in time to slow down are slim anyway. It would seem a few inches won't make a huge difference.

By simply mounting to the right of the RVM without obvious window mounts or cables should stealthify the physical appearance. I have looked extensively here. The rain sensor really helps out!

Just looking for a reputable shop with a press brake to work out my final plan. Shouldn't be more than a month.

Be careful about the few inches thing. I read a radar detector review a long time ago and they were pretty adamant that mounting location was critical and did in fact produce significantly different results with minor changes in placement depending on the radar type, etc. I can't recall any specifics. Wish I still had the article!

Your solution otherwise does sound good. Now it looks like our next mod will be to make the center console a lockable compartment!

What 'mod' are you referring to? Stealth One or the rear view mirror mount?

I got a ticket in CT, I think the cop was using laser.

On Long Island & NYC they seemed to all use laser.

My read of the thread is that it is old news and no longer made.

What happened was a spammer randomly posted in this thread yesterday so it got bumped. The spam post was deleted but, before it was, NyMench saw the thread and probably didn't notice the older date of the StealthOne info. Thus all the subsequent posts.

So, the StealthOne is not back. I have still have mine, from the very first batch made, installed.
