Smile Passenger Mirror Issue

When I put the car in reverse I have the mirror switch set so when in reverse my passanger mirror adjusts to a lower position for parking but when I put it back in drive it doesnt come back up......this just started yesterday....

Anyone have any feedback on this?

I had a similar problem and ended up having to get the mirrors replaced under warranty.

I have the same problem...now the mirror wont retract down when I put the car in reverse. I'm passed warranty, so i'm looking for a fix.

Found out the hard way the motor in the mirror needed to be replaced. I had the cpu on the X reflashed thinking it was a simple fix, but it turned out to be the motor. $150 plus another $135ish for labor and it was fixed. I would have done it myself, but I didn't want to damage the mirror assembly.

A very common problem. I replaced the mirror motor under warranty and it hasn't happened since.

Yeah a common problem alright - mine too. However I use one of the seat memory buttons to store the ideal parking position of the mirror - for some reason this works reliably whereas the reverse tilt down no longer does!

This Sucks!!!!!

The entire mirror assembly was changed on both sides about two years ago......when i was under warranty....

Any DIY fix or too complicated?
