what kind of gas?

im a newbie when it comes to X5 coz im into jdm cars! but im confused should i put 93 octane but the salesman told me i can put middle class fuel which is 89 octane?pls help? by the way our x5 is 2002 3.0i thanks!

The minimum the X5 is designed to run on is 91 octane.

I noticed a significant difference when I tried 89 octane and I wouldn't use anything other than 91 in my 4.6is. It seemed to hesitate under load and gas mileage dropped - my 2c....
