Just hit the big 100k!!!!

, I just hit the 100,000 mile mark! I'm a little nervous, as I've heard crazy and expensive stories about tranny failure. Just had my brakes done and had my indy do a complete check on my X. He told me that everything is in perfect order. He told me that he wouldn't touch the tranny, unless it was acting up on me. He said to leave it alone. He test drove it, came back and said she shifts very smooth and doesn't feel a reason for concern. Let it go he says, but do monitor it as I drive. He knows about the F-Clutch problems, but he did mention something about the sport package on these X's have a different torque converter and something else that is more of a heavy duty set up compared to the regular X's. I'm wondering because I didn't really don't remember what he said. Is this true? Does the sport package have a little different set up? I guess for more performance driving habits? I'm a little curious. Someone please chime in, I'd like to find out. Thanks.

Congratulations! I'm about 3K behind you and my X5 has been great. No problems other than the standard, water pump, CV boots, etc. I've never heard of a different transmission or shift program for sport package, which I also have. I am looking forward to another 100K, I love this truck. Worst case, I'll shell out $4K for a rebuilt transmission and keep on going.

First of all! Congratz! 100K is awesome, I add this because I just Broke 80 and I know that I will be there before I know it. with Tomaz 110%.....Regularly Tune Ups/oil changes/filter changes/cv boots, a couple of control arms....thats about it... I fear the gaskets and Tranny, but I regulaly change my oil and don't drive like a complete Azz....all the time! LOL! Funny ...no water pump yet! I have an extended warranty to 90 k.

Here is to another 100K

Wow nice! You're the first person I've heard of in regards to having 100K on an X5. Congrats!
