Headlights usually use a circuit breaker and relay, are they not coming on?

The driver's headlight isnt working after an audio install I had done. I'm pretty sure they didnt blow the headlight because the car wasnt being driven so I figured it was probably a fuse.

Try disconnecting the battery for a while to reset the system. After I switched to the Euro headlights I had to do this. You sure you didn't coincidentally blow the bulb recently?

Good luck!

I guess its possible the bulb blew but it certainly coincided with a shop installing an aftermarket stereo in my car. Literally it worked the day before. Additionally, the angel eyes (Umnitza) on that side of the car dont work either. And thats a mystery too because although they are housed within the headlight housing, the way the angel eyes are connected electrically are in no way connected to the operation of the headlights.

The stereo they installed has steering wheel controls for the radio (swi-pac unit) and they definitely made a mistake installing that portion of the radio. When you blow the horn, the source changes (will toggle between dvd, radio, bluetooth phone, aux, iPod, etc). It is quite infuriating especially driving through NYC rush hour daily. Every time I blow the horn (which is at least once per trip) either my song is interrupted or if Im on the phone, the line clicks over, lol.

Oh man ... I would've gone straight to them and tell it like it is. Seems like they're really responsible for the mess.

I assume you're just trying to band-aid for now (get the headlight working) until you can drop the X off back with them to correct the wiring.

Strange that the angel eyes is gone too - especially if you didn't tap the headight harness for power.

Well they fixed the angel eyes but not the headlight. They finished the bezel part of the install but did not fix the part that has the horn switching sources.

I did some of my own research and Pac's website for the swi-jack steering wheel control module says the device is incompatible with all BMW's.

Well apparently it works a little.

So I guess nobody here knows how the xenon headlights are power-regulated other than ballasts and bulbs.

Is that a joke

I knew that. Which fuse controls the headlights? There is no label showing which of the fuses controls them. I'm starting to think they do not have a fuse.
