One of the first things i noticed after buying the car and waiting 5 minutes in front of the car for the lights to turn off automatically LOL.

I've done the xenon to halogen upgrade, so my headlights go off when i pull my key now, but the dash lights etc is still on, and i get "lights on" msg. If anyone has or does figure this mod out, let me know!

Hi its your LCM coding it can be programed by the dealer only so your lights go off when you pull the key out.

i know this i just bought brand new 2010 335i xdrive for my wife on Friday BMW dealer said they can program anything what ever you like the car to do etc lights stay on 30 sec after shut off, auto mirrors fold/unfold when lock/unlock soo many other options i am getting every thing redone by next Friday, i hope this helps
