Eisenhaus Exhaust and AfE magnum Force Intake

Hello Everyone,

Great site. Just brought a used X5 4.4is with 48K.....LOVE IT! Artic white, Hartge 20's, and tinted out.

It is just too quiet and I would like to start to mod. I just built a home so I can't drop $5k on the Dinan set up....plus I don't want to lose the 3 mpg either, so I am wondering if anyone here has tried this combo for sound and performance.

Please let me know any type of advice. I am a willing apprentice to the new world of fine German machinery!

I, for one, think that the Eisenhaus stuff is way overpriced (I have put the race mufflers on my 4.8 for about $1800). Sound is better than stock but not that much better that removing the front resonator and replacing with x-pipe or the Remus alternative. As to the intake, I would also really consider the wisdom of the rather large expense for the very modest, if any, gain in performance. Good luck.

Go Remus and skip the intake

great looking ride! all black and all white vehicles look awesome, when clean. the trick is to keep them that way. I'm too lazy. at least I say that, then go out to mop off the dust and polish any imaginary imperfections before and after taking a spin. Best of luck with it.

AfE Intake

Oh yeah, just one other thing.....the co that makes the intake claims that on 4.4i's the increase is 10hps and 13-14 fps torque increase....at $350 on ebay it is $35 a pony so it seemed a bit pricey, but you have to start some where. I guess the K&N with a Vortex generator behind it is a more prudent way to go.

Thanks to all for the comps on my new bill!
