x5- no power/acceleration under3000rpm: vanos or AMF Sensor?
mdear all,
i drive an 01 4.4i x5 and my car has no power/acceleration under 3000rpm, and to get speed, it continuously downshifts to reach lower gear to get acceleration from higher rpms. acceleration is better passed 3000rpms. it even downshifted on highway at high speed from 5th to 4th when i tried to pass a truck which put my gearbox on security mode.idle speed is shaky as if it was hesitating. i have read about symptoms of used vanos seals, as well as symptoms of defective air mass flow sensor and feels like they are the same. does anyone have any toughts on my problem?
