Does the headlight on a 5 series fit the X5? Say '02 5 series does it fit an '01 X5?

Let say if I have a pair of 5 series headlight with angel eyes can I take it apart and put it into my x5 headlights? Or should I just save my money and go get the kit from one of the angel eye dealers?

What you are considering doing is exactly how Mobile Innovations makes their Angel Eyes. I'm sure there's some customization and adaptation necessary, but it can be done. If you look at the image at the below, that is what the final product looks like. More info on AE suppliers are at:
