My X is under surgery :(

I gave my X to the workshop yesterday for A/C evaporator replacement there is a leak over there ... and this means that they will completely remove the steering wheel and dashboard ... i will also replace the final stage resistor and steering angle sensor

I am not planning to see it like that ... I told the guy call me when you are done... I am so worried that the dashboard will not return back perfectly
My mechanic was so nice and gave me a 2002 523i until he finishes my X

Here is the part I am replacing (Part #1)

Yeah, hate to say it, but there is a good chance that it will not fit back exactly as it was new. It is very hard to get that right. Even at the stealer. It will probably look fine, but my bet is something will be off somewhere.

Boy that post was pessimistic.

Ran by the body shop yesterday to drop off my new skid plate to have it painted and looked at the progress on my repairs after my accident - has been in the shop since May 1. The whole ass end of the X is off, the glass has been removed from the hatch and one side window, interior was pulled out, missing one muffler, etc. Went over to get my tag to have it replaced and they had four to five shelves of stuff taken out of my X. Wish I had gotten some pics of it.

On the way out the rep showed my an '08 X5 they had just finished up that had around $25K in bodywork - whole front end had been knocked off of it.
Have to admit they did a damn good job on it!!
