The Worst Car I Ever Had In My Life

Here are just facts, sorry for my bad english.
1. October 2005 - happinness I am an owner of new X5 4.4
2. 2006 - happy driving
3. June 2007 - mirrors folding error - dealer repaired
4. August 2007 - dust and moisture inside headlamps - replaced by dealer.
5. November 2007 - refuelling problems, stops fueling. Not fixed upto date. Fuelling by drops takes at least 30 min.
6. Major disaster with suspension. One side higher than another. Compressor pumping every morning, brakes operating in strange manner. ABS works on one single front wheel without any purpose. Screen blinking, gearbox stops shifting gears.
The car already spent one month in dealer's workshop and still there. I am getting stupid SMS messages from them everyday.
7. Fed up, wrote letter to Munich, they replied that they forwarded my concern to relevant department.

To be continued.....

:xoutpost:

And is this post to seek help or to vent? (I hardly see the point of posting to vent).

Are you bringing it to the same dealer? If you're in south FL I can tell you some good shops to go to for great mechanics that really know their BMW.Even if you need it to be a dealer (CPO / under warranty etc).

Although - I don't think the warranty work has to be done by dealer (unless that is just in the case of oil changes outside dealer not voiding your warranty etc).

Sorry to hear about your issues, but any car that has major issues one right after the other would be considered the worst car you've owned.
Good luck..

It is just cry.. Because here in UAE in Dubai there is only one single monopoly dealer with unskilled stuff and lots of coffee in customer waiting area.
Thank you trying to help.
But there is only one way - to complain to headquarters. Last chance....

The X is a great solid Sav. I think its safe to say that the dealer is your biggest problem. Even here in the states we have bad dealers, hence the nick name "Stealer" But we try to find a good indy or dealer that is honest and that does good work. Good Luck with your X. If you can find a great indy, I'd go there and get there input, and then take it to the stealer and make sure you tell them exactly what the problem is. Thats if the indy knows what there talking about.

your lucky

I wrote to Germany and North American BMW about my wifes new 2006 330 being great until notice from BMW said it had to get an adjustment. After "adjustment" at dealer car would not start ( not even turn over , battery good , bright lights, etc) gas mileage went to crap , performance went to crap .

It was in the dealer 3 times before we decide to get rid of it ( didn't want my wife stuck somewhere, which happened twice). I wrote a 3 page letter to BMW , sent copy to Munich, North American and dealer. Not one response.

I've had new cars much worse than that. Even with good mechanics working on it too.

I am very thankfull for your support my dear friends!
Now I realise and remember, that problems began after the first service at dealers, sorry, stealers workshop! I am afraid to say, but that means stealer replaced parts from my car with old ones!!! That means my car continue to die even now being in fat, greedy, dirty stealer hands!!!
Really I don't now what to do...

Received latest update. Stealer found the problem. No parts available. I have to wait another 10 days! No courtesy car. No help...
BMW is a great car, but without professional service - it is a piece of metall. Decision - come back to Japanese automakers. Quality, reliability and service.
