Phew! Glad you and your son are okay. That's the main thing. But with respect to your X5, it sucks that it happened after you did all those mods.

Thank goodness you and your son are fine

That is why you spent the money........

Now you have to take off all those parts. Do you think that it is a total loss?

Thank god you were driving the X, looks like it was worth every penny to protect your most precious and irreplaceable possesions. The X can always be replaced. Keep well.

glad you guys are ok.. I wasn't convinced to buy the X5 until I saw a picture of it in an accident where it knocked a minivan into the trees with not alot of damage to the X...that sold me as I drive on one of the most dangerous roads in the SF bay area.

Phil - the important thing is that you and your passengers were able to walk away. Mission accomplished

Let the dust settle and then climb back in the replacement X5

I am so happy that both you and your son are fine. It really is too bad for the X5, but hey, it was a great car and did its job of protecting you and your family. I am sure there will be another great X5 in your near future.

my god that is awful - just goes to show you never know when it will happen to you. I'm glad you and your son are OK, it could have been much worse. I'll bet you are both still quite shook up over the ordeal, hang in there. And if there is a bright side, you're getting a new X and can do your MODS all over again!

Take care and rest.

Bad news, but good to read you and your son are ok!

The X is The car to be in, when an accident happens, imo.
Hope the idiot got a ticket, some sore ribs and his ins. doubles.

GL and good hunting for the replacement. BR,md
