Pics of my wrecked X5

Here they are. After closer inspection...I wonder if its not totaled. At first glance none of the major frame components appeared bent. I could not get the hood open, but I could clearly see the engine compartment and most everthing under there looks intact. This could be a candidate for a front end upgrade...Part of me would like that...and the other part of me wants a new
one.

Things to note....
No damage past the front fenders
  • No aluminum running board damage - only lost the front fender trim piece.
  • Steering wheel - only airbag is blown...wheel is still good. The white powder is airbag dust....it wipes off
  • Rear bumer needs to be replaced because the cops had to use their bull bar to push it off the road and did some damage to it.

Damn, bad week for a lot of us in the U.S. Glad to hear of no physical harm to anyone. Chewie and Han were always working on the Falcon, you know...

Ouch! Those pics hurt. Does the engine still runs? You may be be able to do a front upgrade and 4.8 bumper kits.

Thank goodness that you and your son are OK and walked away without injuries. I don't see the passenger airbag deployed. Do all X5s have a sensor in the passenger seat to activate its airbag?

I'd say it's not totalled. complete new front clip yes, but it look fixable (from the pics) - however, you may want them to write it off depending on how you feel about a vehicle that has been in an accident. If they do write it off, make sure you strip all your mods!

The mods will definately be stripped if they total it. I will also try to zap the comfort seats if a total. I will keep everyone informed.
