Question Alarm Question - Need Help!!

I need to know how to turn on the alarm with out turning on the motion sensor. I am about to take a trip with my dog and I will need to lock the car with him in it (in the shade, windows cracked). Probably for no more than 5 or 10 minutes to pay for gas or hit the restroom.

I would check my manual but it is packed away in a box!! Help!!!

Actually isn't the sensor near the AC vent up front? But... I really don't want to take the X apart. I just want to lock the car w/o turning the motion sensor or perhaps not turn the alarm on at all......

Just press the arm (BMW Roundel) button on the FOB, twice. The second press de-activates the motion detection.
