Exclamation Turn lights

I know there is a very nice article on the site and there is an 04+ note at the end, but has anyone extualy changed the turn signal on a '04? I unscrewed the four screws, easy. But the sliding the headlight out look impossible. The bottem rim of the headlight is stuck behind the rim of the bumber. Is it actually possible to get acces to the turn light without taking the bumber of. I hate to give the robber another $160,-

I had a problem with my nearside indicator lamp and i did manage to sort the problem without removing the bumper, a bit fiddly but possible mine is a 2003 model.

I am only able to get the headlight 1 inch out. Cannot even reach the turnbulb with my fingers.

I managed to remove the trim under the headlamp unit by carefully releasing the clips holding it this made it easier to remove the lamp unit then refit the trim after refitting the lamp unit when the job was done, hope this helps.

The '04 doesn't have that trim anymore.
