I can certainly appreciate the gesture but in all honestly "a little more helpful" really isn't going to do any good at all and i believe everyone knows that. If they don't know it then they need to be given a heads up because that's the real deal.
I have the same year X5 and i can testify that your just not gonna save a lot of money on gasoline unless you drive the vehicle less or stop driving it all together. If you do that then what's the point?
So rather than cling to some sort of pipe dream why not tell it like it is. IMHO trying to drive an X5 and save gas is an exercise in futility.
