I have sw4-1/91 on my settings screen on my dvd driven oem sat nav. It has the dvd driver fitted. I have put in an original 2008-1 dvd and i can now partially search postcodes in the uk. Is there something I need to do or get to make it search for the full postcode?

You may need an special map disk
Try going into info on location - then - travel. If it is not there then you need a map disc that has the full postcode burned onto it.
I got one of these from this chap and it also has UK speed camera's. He can burn you your own POI's. He was quick and very helpful. [email protected] Please let him know you got a ref from me. |

OK
I believe that to get the six digit postcode you require a special disc (as suggested above).
I think that the default navteq disc will only give you the first three digits. The disc I bought was about £30 and arrived next day. It also came with a free "latest" version of the OS. This is the 2008 UK and Europe DVD high disc. To get to the six digit postcode you need to go to "info on location" then "travel" then "UK postcodes". You then are prompted for the full code. It is very accurate. The speed camera locations are very accurate. I have a MKIV unit running V31 of the OS. |
