How to replace a shattered rear window
I have searched a bunch but can't find any info on how to replace the actual glass piece on the e53 '01 X5 3.0 My rear passenger side window is shattered. The window that goes up and down is the broken one, not the fixed panel. I think I understand the regulator replacement DIY, but beore I pull the door apart and start working I was wondering if there are any othe things that I should know to replace actual glass piece the right way and efficiently? Any tips, tricks, or other parts to remove that allow the replacement to happen? Thanks in advance, Adam

Cant help................check your insurance as in the uk most fully comprehensive policies have glass cover for free _ I have to pay a small excess per claim but it doesnt affect your forthcoming renewal premiuim.
I just call trhe glass company and they fit new glass and take the excess payment. I am sure policies vary from country to country but worth looking into maybe. Sorry cant help re technical know how re changing the glass
