DSP was on and now its GONE !!!!

I had a problem with the bluetooth interface on my 2006 Le Mans, i took it back to BMW for fixing which they did, but when i picked it up from them i had the DSP option on my menu screen, which had not been there previous to their 'repair' to the phone interface, and when i clicked on it i got the graphic equaliser and side menu, it was there for about 10 minutes and then disappeared.
As i bought the car second hand i am not sure whether this is a glitch or whether it should be on all the time. I bought it from the dealer but don't want to make a pratt of myself by asking them to 'repair' it if its not fitted and was only a 'screen', rather than an active feature maybe someone could guide me on what i can do to determine whether it should be working full time. Someone has said that it would have woofer speakers somewhere in the back, but i have looked behind the panels at either side and nothing doing, are they fitted over the wheel arch or somewhere else. It is a UK spec R/H drive model.
AM I WASTING MY TIME, DOES IT SOUND SO MUCH BETTER WITH DSP ??

do you have the extra subwoofer in the back? this would indicate the premium sound package, and if so, you should have DSP control.

Not sure where to look for subwoofer, its not behind the 2 panels at the back of the boot area. Is it in the space above the seat well, how easy is it to access ? If i don't have it why did it appear on the screen for a short while

go to this page, and look under premium sound, and it will show you how to tell, if its not under the panels, you probably don't have it, no clue why it showed up though.

No sub on right-side/rear = no DSP !
