i suspect either you update your ipod firmware or itouch is not being supported by your ipod module. You can email Tom from european auto source since he is the expert on this product.

+1. Does a specific logo appear on the iPod screen when connected?

Most kits will lock out the iPod controls since it places the iPod in UART mode to get full communication.

If you have the OEM BMW IPOD adapter, then the stereo assumes control of ipod functionality. You cannot use the ipod to control anything once connected.

I don know what tipe of adapter it is,the instrutions catalog says "bmw interface",i have a iodtouch,i can use most of the fetures, but i cant go into my music albuns or videos and pick what i want to listen...i think that it sucks ...i also have a FM transmiter...not that good.
I like how i can use the car stereo to skip, pause etc when i am listining music but not being able to chose what i want unless it's on a play list is desapointing to me...is there another way?
I found a site that sells a extra audio input for bmw's but i dont know anything about it...
Thanks anyway,take care...

If you get an AUX input kit that uses your CD changer input as means to communicate, then you could connect your ipod through the headphone jack. Only downside is it most likely wont charge your ipod since its not using the ipod jack to connect to.

Replace it with a Dice with Spec Doc.. well the speck dock makes it a bit complicated to control manually.. but its possible at a stop light.. i normally just pic it up off the dock and select what i want then put it back.
