At 95,000 km had the engine mounts replaced. At 110,000km vibration started when stopped and gearbox still in "D" No vibration when in "P" New gearbox installed, still the same

This seems to be a very common problem with BMWs and especially with X5s.

Did you own yours from new? If so was there never a vibrartion before 60K Miles?

Had the same issue with my 05 4.4. Being under warrenty the Dealer investigated the problem to be the steering rack. My problem existed when i was stopped in drive without any load on the engine that drives up the idle. The dealer aso bumbed up the idle to the max limit ~25 rpm more. I was suprised that they were able to adjust the idle setting.
