Guys Need some help ...Temperature Needle??

Ok....I Installed the Chrome Gauge Rings and The Silver Gauge Overlays. Here is my problem. My temperature Gauge will not rise to the normal middle mark that it always sets itself in when at normal temp. I may have knocked it when doing the install. When the car is off the needle drops all the way to the bottom. Is it supposed to do that or should it stop where the black line before the blue cold starts.. I took it for granted and never really noticed?? Second - any solutions to get this needle working correctly again. When I start the car the needle pops up but stops in the middle of the blue cold mark and does not move to middle...even after some time to get the car warm. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated. I'm friggin spent and cant figure this one out??

RR

first.. let me say GREAT MOD! LOL. Jst need to use a marker and make the needles red.. unless u prefer the white.

Now.. I don't have the solution to your problem.. sorry.. but I do know that the needle drops all the way to the bottom when off.. so that is normal

The fact it moves is a good thing. I would try and open it up again and see if it has the same tension as the rest of the needles?? but i'd wait to see what some of the veterans say LOL

again.. great MOD.

I actually did not remove the needles, I just had to stretch the new layover beyond the ends of the needles. It is actually not a sticker vs. an overlay......just about lines up perfect..a little off like on the gas gauge where the (0) is for being an empty tank, other than that not that bad........I have a pdf that krunk sent me that I could forward to your private email..to big for here...this was a good guideline!

Remove cluster with hex tool, open cluster with nedle nose pliers and a set of xtra hands(pain in the arse), line up and place layovers...use a little two way tape, also nees a torx tool to fasten layover under the screws(you'll see when you get there, snap in chrome rings, color needles(I did a silver sharpie at first(looked coool, just to much silver)then did red, the sharpie's seem to streak a bit)Next stop red finger nail polish), this will cover without streaking). ..and then just reinstall.....
