The only one I like is the one on mag cover

Which looks like a very trick 05....I have no worries about resale value now.

We all know what we would like NOT to see...The real pics are the black test mule pics..But those things are SOOO heavily hidden under those moldings, that we have NO idea what underneath...Ive personally been dreaming about this concept pic since it came out a year ago...I think they should start producing these right now, but to be quite honest, the blue one on the cover of the AutoCar mag in this thread is the most likely result..It follows suit into the rest of the "new" design that BMW is going for...

Anyway, let us drool over THIS puppy....

Nothing wrong with going down a similar design road to the X3, in my opinion. I test drove them both and it was a no brainer; the X3 won on all counts so I bought one for my wife instead of my original intention of buying the X5. A similar body design to the X3 will probably mean a considerable increase in interior space for the next gen X5 (it always amazes me that the X3 has 10% more cargo space and more rear seat space than the X5 and the same interior space as a Grand Cherokee). If they can also get the new X5 to handle anywhere near as well as the X3, then they should have a hands down winner in the marketplace.

As the proud owner of both an X5 and an X3, I really feel that if they DO go down the "X3 path" that is not a bad thing... at all! I still like my X5 better than my wife's X3 (seating position, feels "more solid), but that X3 has truly impressed me!

Front end looks a bit whimp ish! I bought my X5 because it looked a beast and drove like a (luxurious) beast. Not sure if the new one does it for me?
