Software Recall?

After discovering my '05 X5 3.0 wouldn't turnover this morning, I jumped it and then saw the 4x4 light was solid indicating the DSC wasn't activating. I called the dealership to schedule a visit; however, he indicated two things:

1. There probably wasn't enough juice to activate the DSC
2. There's a software recall

Does anyone know anything about this software recall and what it effects?

Thanks.

I jumped my 4.4i 2005 one time and I also had the 4x4 light on indicating the saem thing as yours. I called dealer and they said it is working but it will get reset over the night while the truck is parked and is in sleep mode.

#1 - Try driving the car a few minutes or turn your front wheels lock to lock and those lights should go out.

#2 - The only software recall that I know of on the I6 is emission related. You should have gotten a letter for this if your vehicle was part of the recall as my '04 3.0i was.
